A Bet Angel Alternative for Hands-Off Racing Automation

xCloudBot vs Bet Angel: two very different tools, and how to tell which one you need.

Bet Angel is the best-known Betfair trading software around. If you trade in-play, scalp the ladder or want to build complex automation, it's hard to beat. But a lot of people only want their racing selections placed every day without watching a screen, and for that, it can be more than they need.

What Bet Angel is built for

Bet Angel Professional is desktop trading software. It has trading ladders, Excel integration, and Guardian, its automation tool, which comes with hundreds of templates you can import and modify. It's aimed at traders who want control over every detail.

Because it's desktop software, it runs on your computer. To keep it running when your computer is off, Bet Angel sells its own VPS, from £24.99 to £69.99 a month, with the Bet Angel licence sold separately.

What xCloudBot is built for

xCloudBot does one job: placing back and lay bets on horse racing and greyhounds, 24/7, from the cloud. Copy a tipster’s selections automatically, upload your own as a CSV, or switch on a built-in system, set your staking plan and limits, and leave it. Win bets can go on at BSP. There's nothing to install, and you can manage it from a phone.

Which one do you need?

Choose Bet Angel if you want to trade: in-play, ladders, greening up, or building your own complex automation across any market. And if you already run it on a machine that's always on, it's very good value on an annual licence.

Choose xCloudBot if you want racing selections placed reliably every day, you don't want to learn trading software or pay for a VPS, and you'd rather check on it from your phone.

They also work side by side: Bet Angel for trading when you're at the screen, and a cloud bot for the daily selections when you're not.
