Back staking plan

(Back) Bookies Bank

A simple recovery plan: stake a percentage of an imaginary bookmaker's bank that grows with every loss.

Bookies Bank pictures you betting against a bookmaker. Every bet you lose goes into the bookie's bank, and you always stake a fixed percentage of whatever that bank holds, so stakes rise after losses and fall back after a win.

Parameters

  • Bookies Bank: the starting size of the imaginary bank.
  • Percentage To Bet: the share of the bookie's bank to stake each time. With a £200 bank and 10%, the stake is £20.

Example

Starting bookies bank £100, percentage 10%. The first stake is £10 (10% of £100) and loses, so the bank grows to £110. The next stake is £11 and loses; the bank is now £121. The third stake is £12.10 and wins £73.91, which comes off the bank. The bank is now below the £100 it started at, so the next stake goes back to 10% of £100.

This plan raises stakes after losses. Enable Consequential betting on the Settings page, use one selection per race, set a Stop at loss, and read why loss-recovery plans empty banks before running it with real money.
