Back staking plan

(Back) Recovery

A fixed profit per bet, with any loss spread over a set number of recovery bets rather than chased in one go.

Recovery aims for a target profit on each bet and, after a loss, switches into recovery mode: the running loss is divided across a number of bets and added to each of them, so it's clawed back gradually rather than all at once.

Parameters

  • Target Profit: the profit each bet aims for.
  • Number Of Recovery Bets: how many bets to spread a loss over. Lose £12 with this at 3 and each of the next three bets tries to win back £4 on top of its target.
  • Safe Recovery: unticked, each losing bet adds a point of Target Profit to the next bet, so a winner pays for two races and, with no running loss left, your profit equals the target multiplied by the number of bets placed, won or lost. Ticked, recovery bets don't add the target; they just recover, and your profit is the target multiplied by the number of winners outside recovery.
  • Multiplier Limit: caps how many points of target can be added to a stake. Set it to 1 if after a loss you'd rather bet the loss plus one stake instead of two.
  • Max Running Loss: the most the plan will try to recover. Above it, each bet recovers Max Running Loss ÷ Number Of Recovery Bets, however big the real loss. 0 means no limit.
  • Clear Loss If Above Maximum: tick it and the running loss resets to zero as soon as it reaches Max Running Loss.
  • Multiplier, Running Loss, Recovery Step: read-only. Recovery Step counts the bets placed in the current recovery and ends the recovery when it reaches Number Of Recovery Bets.

Example

Target profit 10, two recovery bets, Safe Recovery off, no maximum loss.
