Lay staking plan

(Lay) Recovery

A fixed profit per winning lay, with losses spread over a set number of recovery bets.

The lay version of Recovery. Each lay aims for a target profit, and after a laid runner wins the loss is divided over a number of following bets and added to each, so it's recovered gradually.

Parameters

  • Target Profit: the profit each lay aims for.
  • Number Of Recovery Bets: how many bets to spread a loss over. Lose £12 with this at 3 and each of the next three lays tries to win back £4 on top of its target.
  • Safe Recovery: unticked, each loss adds a point of Target Profit to the next bet, so a winner pays for two races and, with no loss outstanding, your profit is the target times the number of bets placed. Ticked, recovery bets don't add the target; your profit is the target times the number of winning lays outside recovery.
  • Multiplier Limit: caps how many points of target can be added to one bet. 1 means loss plus one target after a loss, rather than two.
  • Max Running Loss: the most the plan will try to recover; above it each bet recovers Max Running Loss ÷ Number Of Recovery Bets regardless. 0 means no limit.
  • Clear Loss If Above Maximum: reset the running loss to zero once it reaches Max Running Loss.
  • Multiplier, Running Loss, Recovery Step: read-only running values.

Example

Target profit 10, two recovery bets, Safe Recovery off, no maximum. Each stake is (target × multiplier) + (running loss ÷ 2).

BetRunning lossStakeRunnerP/LHow the stake was built
1010 @ 2.00Won−1010 × 1
21025 @ 3.00Lost+2510 × 2 + 10 ÷ 2
3515 @ 2.00Won−1510 × 1 + 10 ÷ 2
42030 @ 2.00Won−3010 × 2 + 20 ÷ 2
55055 @ 3.30Lost+5510 × 3 + 50 ÷ 2
62535 @ 4.47Lost+3510 × 1 + 50 ÷ 2
7010 @ 2.20Won−1210 × 1

With Multiplier Limit set to 1, the target part of every stake would have stayed at 10 × 1.

This plan raises stakes after losses. Enable Consequential betting on the Settings page, use one selection per race, set a Stop at loss, and read why loss-recovery plans empty banks before running it with real money.
