Runner conditions
Conditions set on individual runners: must run, exclude from the favourite count, or cancel the race if this one gets picked.
Most conditions apply to a whole system or a whole race. Runner conditions apply to one horse or dog. Tick the races you want on the Races page and click Runner conditions, or click Edit runners… in the Edit race form, and you get each race's runners with three tick boxes per runner.
The three conditions
- Must run: if this runner is withdrawn, the bot cancels all bets in the race. Use it when your reason for betting the race depends on a particular horse taking part.
- Exclude: the bot ignores this runner when it works out the favourites. Say your selection is 1st Fav and the four shortest prices are 2.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 5.0. Tick Exclude on the first three and the bot treats the 5.0 shot as the first favourite. The same shift applies to 2nd Fav and so on; the excluded runners simply aren't counted.
- Cancel if selected: if the bot's selection rule lands on this runner, it cancels the race's bets. Useful when you bet the first favourite but want no bet if the favourite turns out to be a particular horse.
